This simple exercise can help restore your equilibrium

When we experience stress the functioning of our brain changes, thankfully these changes sometimes correct themselves, but if they don’t there is a very simple exercise which will correct this imbalance in the brain, and anyone can carry out this exercise for themselves.

There are different terms for these changes, but they are all due to stress, which is important to bear in mind.

One kinesiology term is Brain Transposing which is where the messages from one side of the brain to the other bounce around, causing confusion and slower thinking.

This occurrence can be due to any of the following, but really all you need to do is be aware that your thinking is not as clear and concise as usual and the exercise we are going to give you will address the problem.

Also make sure you are not dehydrated, because this also leads to “woolly” thinking!

9 Gamut Exercise

This exercise wakens your system, making sure all parts of your brain are working together.

You must lightly tap constantly throughout using two fingers of your dominant hand.

Make a fist of your non-dominant hand and identify the little hollow on the back of your fist between the bones leading to your ring and little finger.

During each of the following 9 parts of the exercise tap lightly with your dominant hand on that hollow for about 30 seconds.

Close your eyes

Open your eyes

Keeping your head still, roll your eyes down hard right

Now hard left

Keeping your head still, roll your eyes clockwise

Now anti-clockwise

Hum something

Count to 5, slowly

Hum something

Tap the nape of your neck to remind your body of the changes you have just made.
